About StartupSeedFund

StartupSeedFund is an independent, free resource for founders raising their first round. We build simple calculators, keep a list of seed-stage investors and write plain-English guides about how seed fundraising actually works.

What we are not: despite the name, we are not an investment fund. We don't invest in startups, we don't offer or sell securities, and we don't give individual legal, tax or investment advice. Talk to a qualified lawyer or accountant before signing anything.

How the site is funded

The tools and guides are free. We cover costs by selling the Seed Round Kit, through featured listings, and through affiliate links to software we'd recommend anyway (see our disclosure). Investors in our directory are not paid placements unless clearly marked "Featured."
